Flooring Installation for the Modernization of Magdeburg City Hall

The City of Magdeburg, represented by the Municipal Building Management (KGM), is planning a comprehensive modernization of the Magdeburg City Hall, which is classified as a historical monument by the State Office for Monument Preservation. The main objectives of the modernization include: - Enhancing the quality of the historical building for public use and enjoyment. - Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, particularly regarding fire safety. - Restoring the building's original architectural features in accordance with preservation standards. - Improving operational capabilities of the City Hall, including: - Enhancing delivery access to the stage of the Great Hall. - Improving sightlines to the stage in the Great Hall. - Upgrading building and event technology. - Expanding the availability of flexible event and conference spaces. - Renovating kitchen areas. - Enhancing the building's energy efficiency while respecting preservation requirements. - Developing a lighting concept to improve the building's visibility in the urban space of Magdeburg. - Improving outdoor space quality by removing various existing structures. - Establishing effective flood protection measures. The main scope of work includes the installation of multi-layer oak parquet flooring: - 179 m² of herringbone pattern, 11mm thick with a 4mm wear layer. - 2774 m² of ship floor pattern, 11mm thick with a 4mm wear layer. - 1096 m² for stages, platforms, and mobile stairs. - 39 units of multi-layer oak stair treads and risers. - 80 units of multi-layer oak elements for treads and risers. - 757 m of solid wood edges.
