Electricity Supply for the City of Rijeka

The City of Rijeka is seeking suppliers for the provision of electricity for a period of two years. This contract includes the supply of electricity to various budget users, with detailed information on budget users, measurement points, and tariff models provided in Appendix 4. Suppliers must comply with the technical specifications outlined in the Technical Specifications document and other conditions specified in the procurement documentation. The Croatian government has mandated that at least 50% of the electricity procured by public bodies must come from renewable sources by 2025, increasing to 65% by 2030. This initiative aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and support the development of renewable energy sources. Therefore, the electricity supplied must contain a minimum of 50% from renewable sources, which include wind, solar, geothermal, hydro, ocean energy, biomass, and biogas. The selected supplier is required to provide proof of the origin of the electricity supplied each year, in accordance with the regulations established by the Croatian Energy Market Operator. This proof must be submitted by April 30 of the following year for the electricity supplied in the previous year.
