Calibration Services for Pipettes and Volumetric Equipment

This procurement opportunity involves the calibration of pipettes and other volumetric equipment used for dispensing liquid aliquots by various participants. The services include preventive maintenance, calibration (as found, as returned), adjustment, and potential repairs. The equipment collection includes single-channel and multi-channel pipettes (with fixed or variable volume), repetitive pipettes (steppers), electronic burettes, syringes, and diluters. Calibration services must be performed on-site at the participant's location (see the attached address list for pipette calibration) by an RVA accredited supplier operating in accordance with ISO 17025 and the limits set by ISO 8655. The calibration process can be summarized in several steps: 1. Collaborate with participants to create an annual schedule outlining the frequency and timing of calibrations; 2. Execute the calibration according to the annual schedule; 3. Label calibrated equipment with a sticker indicating the date of the next calibration; 4. Report the calibration results (pass/fail); 5. Provide calibration certification for each calibrated device; 6. Prepare a report on the calibration services provided. The estimated value for this procurement is €667,000 excluding VAT, including extension options. The maximum value of the contract is set at €867,000 excluding VAT, including extension options. The goal of this procurement is to establish a framework agreement with one contractor for the calibration of pipettes. This framework agreement is expected to commence in mid-April 2024 and will have an initial duration of 21 months, with two (2) options for extension of one (1) year each. The contracting authority is the Procurement Implementation Center of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (IUC-RIVM), on behalf of the National Procurement Category for Laboratories, with participants including RIVM, NVWA, NFI, Customs Laboratory, and Rijkswaterstaat.
