Dental Equipment and Instruments for Facial Fracture Treatment

The Varsinais-Suomi welfare area is conducting a procurement process for facial fracture instruments to be used by the welfare areas of Varsinais-Suomi, Satakunta, and Pohjanmaa. This procurement also includes specialized instruments related to the handling and placement of products as described in the documents. The welfare areas involved will be collectively referred to as the "Procurement Unit". The procurement is divided into three (3) categories as follows: - Category 1: Orthognathic plates, screws, and drill bits - Category 2: Plates, screws, and drill bits for lower jaw fracture treatment - Category 3: Plates, screws, and drill bits for upper jaw fracture treatment. The contract will be valid for a fixed term of two (2) years, after which it will continue indefinitely. The estimated start date of the contract is fall 2025. The details and requirements of the procurement are described in detail in the tender documents and their attachments. ESTIMATED VALUE The estimated total value of the procurement (excluding VAT) during the contract period is approximately 620,000 euros. This is an estimate, and the procurement unit is not committed to a specific procurement amount during the contract period. The estimated total value is preliminarily divided among the procurement categories and the involved procurement units as follows: - Varsinais-Suomi welfare area: Categories 1-3 total 135,000 euros/year - Satakunta welfare area: Categories 1-3 total approximately 10,000 euros/year - Pohjanmaa welfare area: Categories 1-3 total 10,000 euros/year. CONTRACT ORDERS The procurement unit will select three suppliers per category based on this tender competition, provided that there are that many suitable offers. If only one (1) acceptable offer is received for a category, the procurement unit may select only one (1) supplier for that category. The selected suppliers will be prioritized by category. Products for each category will primarily be ordered from the first-ranked supplier. To ensure the best clinical outcome and patient benefit (suitability for the patient, previously performed treatments, planned treatment package), the procurement unit has the right, but not the obligation, to order products from all selected suppliers for that category during the contract period.
