Construction of Extensions for Independent Living

Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council is looking to hire a contractor to build extensions at four of its properties to support independent living. The designs for these extensions have already been created by a designer selected by the Council, and these plans are included in Schedule 6 of the tender documents to help bidders prepare their proposals. The contractor will be responsible for executing the building work according to the approved designs. The project involves the following four properties: 1) **10 Longlands, Welwyn Garden City, Herts, AL7 3QB**: This project includes the extension, refurbishment, and alteration of the existing property to create a new accessible living and sleeping area. 2) **16 Windsor Road, Welwyn, Herts, AL6 9J**: This involves extending, refurbishing, and altering the existing property to add a new downstairs WC cloakroom. 3) **17 Broadfield, Woolmer Green, Knebworth, Herts, SG3 6LZ**: This project includes the extension, refurbishment, alteration, and adaptation of the property to provide additional living facilities. This may include a complete extension, external landscaping, kitchen modifications, and bathroom or wetroom renovations, along with refurbishing existing spaces. 4) **137 Boundary Lane, Welwyn Garden City, Herts, AL7 4EQ**: This involves extending and converting the garage, refurbishing, and altering the existing property to create a new accessible wetroom, as well as additional living and sleeping spaces.
