Engineering Services for Stormwater Management Project in Katowice

This contract involves the development of project documentation and obtaining the final construction permit for the investment task titled: 'Construction of stormwater drainage and a retention tank in the area of Al. Roździeńskiego and Wiertnicza Street in Katowice.' The project aims to design an underground retention tank (or a series of tanks) to regulate water flow during heavy rainfall and prevent surface flooding in the area near the 'Agata' road junction at Al. Roździeńskiego in Katowice. The scope includes redesigning the existing chamber in the stormwater drainage system to redirect the initial flow of rainwater to the new retention tank. The estimated capacity of the tank or series of tanks is approximately 1000m3, which is a preliminary estimate and should be verified during the design phase. The outflow from the tank should be managed using a flow control device to the existing stormwater drainage chamber. The project will also include measures to retain some rainwater, potentially through methods like infiltration. The retention tank will have the capability to recover treated rainwater for purposes such as fire protection and irrigation of urban greenery.
