Digitalization Services for the Theological School Library at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens

This contract involves the digitalization of the Theological School Library at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and providing access to the digitized materials for researchers, people with disabilities, and the general public through an online management and display application. The library has been operational since the establishment of NKUA in 1837 and was formed by merging the libraries of the old 'Studia' of the School, which housed rare collections of antiquarian books. As a result, the Theological School Library in Athens is considered the largest, if not the most significant, library of NKUA. The contract consists of different components (equipment supply and service provision) that cannot be objectively separated, as they refer to a single equipment system, the parts of which function complementarily. In summary, the contract includes two distinct actions: 1. Digitalization of the Theological School Library at NKUA, while also aiming to develop a digitalization laboratory. 2. Development of a multi-level web platform for the storage and display of digital materials.
