Hinchingbrooke Hospital Service Wing Demolition and Enabling Works

This tender invites bids for the partial demolition of a Service Wing at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, which contains Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) panels, along with associated enabling works. The successful bidder will manage the project from RIBA stage 4 through to completion, including: validating and developing RIBA3 designs to RIBA4 standard; refurbishing existing facilities to enable safe staff movement during works; demolishing the building in accordance with the Trust's phasing plan; and constructing a new road to connect to existing road networks. All works will be undertaken within a live hospital environment. As these are enabling works for the Hinchingbrooke Hospital new build, meeting the planned programme dates is critical to avoid delays to the main construction project. This contract is part of the NHS England New Hospitals Programme (NHP), with a 5-week delay expected between notification of the outcome and contract commencement for business case sign-off.
