Children and Young People with Cancer: Patient Experience Survey 2027-2032

NHS England is seeking a contractor to conduct the Under-16 Cancer Patient Experience Survey (U16 CPES) over 58 months (1 May 2027 – 1 March 2032). This contract will deliver four survey cycles to gather insights from children and young people diagnosed with cancer in the UK. Childhood cancer affects approximately 2,000 children under 15 annually, with leukaemia and brain/spinal cord cancers being the most prevalent types. As childhood cancer is rare, diagnosis can be delayed and treatment challenging. The survey aims to collect inclusive patient feedback to improve understanding of the patient experience, support better care pathways, and inform future cancer services for young people. Suppliers should demonstrate experience in conducting large-scale patient experience research, working with vulnerable populations, and delivering longitudinal survey programmes.
