Flooring and Wall Covering Works for the Renovation and Expansion of the Harrl Primary School - Phase 2

This contract involves the flooring works for Phase 2 of the renovation and expansion of the Harrl Primary School. The school building, constructed around 1876, is a historical solid structure with a basement and four floors. It is classified as a historical monument under § 3 Abs. 2 NDSchG. The main building includes classrooms, group rooms, administrative offices, multipurpose rooms, and ancillary spaces. The basement contains storage and technical rooms, a workshop, and a teaching kitchen, which will be upgraded during the renovation. The former caretaker's apartment and currently unused attic on the third floor will be converted into school rooms. The school building will be renovated, remodeled, and expanded in phases over the next few years while remaining operational. The demolished two-story extension on the north side was replaced in Phase 1 with a new cafeteria building, which also included a third staircase for emergency access across all floors. In this phase (Phase 2), the third floor will be developed for educational purposes. The renovation of the sanitary cores on all floors will occur simultaneously with the development of the third floor. However, the actual student restrooms on axes 5-6 on all floors will only be renovated after the completion of the rooms in axes 7-8 to ensure alternative restroom facilities are available on each floor. The school will continue to operate as a full-day school on all floors except the third floor! The work may not be able to be completed in one go due to ongoing operations, which must be considered in the unit prices and work methods! The remaining floors (second floor to basement) will be tendered and executed in further construction phases, with each floor undergoing renovation and remodeling in separate phases.
