Brief

This contract involves the provision of bus transport services for the Danish Armed Forces. The Armed Forces intend to use these services to transport personnel when their own buses are unavailable. The main purpose of this agreement is to provide the Armed Forces with access to civilian bus transportation capacity for transporting personnel between various destinations in Denmark, as well as to and from destinations in the EU, UK, and EEA countries. The transport services will include, but are not limited to: • Soldiers with or without full equipment. • Music corps with accompanying instruments. • VIPs, both domestic and international. • Office personnel. • Allied partners visiting Denmark. The lengths of the journeys can vary widely, ranging from just a few kilometers to covering the entire country from north to south and/or east to west, as well as to/from and within the EU, UK, and EEA countries. Some trips will be round trips, while others will be one-way. Each year, events will require buses for transportation to and from the event, as well as shuttle buses within a specified area. The framework agreement has been established with two suppliers (two parallel framework agreements). Orders under the framework agreement will be awarded directly based on a cascading model, where orders will be assigned to Supplier 1, who submitted the most economically advantageous offer during the tender, unless the buyer is entitled to award to Supplier 2. More details can be found in Section 3.4 of the Framework Agreement and Appendix 2 of the tender conditions. However, it should be noted that Supplier 1 is expected to meet the Armed Forces' bus transport needs, and therefore, bus transport will likely only be awarded to Supplier 2 in exceptional cases.
