Equality Impact Assessment for Drug and Alcohol Services

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council is looking to hire an independent organization to conduct an Equality Impact Assessment (EqIA) of local drug and alcohol treatment and recovery services. This assessment aims to evaluate how well current services meet the needs of individuals with protected characteristics, identify any gaps in service provision, and provide evidence-based recommendations to enhance access, outcomes, and equity in these services. The project will involve both quantitative and qualitative research methods, including data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and consultations with individuals currently in treatment, those who have never received treatment, their families, professionals, and community groups. The selected provider will be required to deliver a detailed final report containing findings and recommendations by April 2026. The total contract value is up to £20,000 (excluding VAT), and the duration of the contract is expected to be around five months.
