NHS Dental Clinical Assessment and Booking Service

NHS Humber and Yorkshire Integrated Care Board is seeking a provider to deliver the Dental Clinical Assessment and Booking Service (DCABS) across Yorkshire and Humber. The service operates 365 days per year, 24 hours daily, providing triage and clinical assessment for callers to the NHS111 dental line (aged 5+), delivering urgent dental care advice, and booking appointments with urgent dental treatment providers using evidence-based national protocols. The service uses a 'Consult and Complete' model, with trained clinical staff providing advice and appropriate onward referrals. Additionally, the service receives patients from NHS111 online assessments and manages warm-transferred calls from NHS111 for children under 5 and patients identified as requiring urgent dental appointments. Contract duration is 5 years from 1 April 2027 to 31 March 2034, with a discretionary 2-year extension option subject to satisfactory performance.
