Riverbank Construction and Modernization Project

This project involves the reconstruction of an existing section of the left bank flood protection embankment along the Warta River, covering a length of 1,010 meters (from km 2+640 to km 3+650). The work includes rebuilding a crossing at km 2+995 and a culvert at km 2+665 as part of the investment task titled 'Modernization of the Left Bank Embankment of the Warta River from km 0+000 to km 8+800, Pyzdry Municipality.' The crossing will be rebuilt, and the surface will be reinforced with interlocking concrete slabs measuring 100 x 75 x 2.5 cm on a gravel base. The culvert will consist of a square reinforced concrete pipe with dimensions of 1.20 m x 1.20 m, including inlet and outlet structures, and protective measures at both ends. This investment is being carried out under the law of July 8, 2021, regarding special principles for preparing flood protection construction projects. The goal of the investment is to secure and protect areas on the left bank of the Warta River from flooding by reconstructing the existing flood embankment to meet current technical standards. Upon completion, the left bank embankment will be classified as a Class III hydraulic structure according to the Minister of Environment's regulation from April 20, 2007, regarding the technical conditions for hydraulic structures and their location. The protected area behind the left bank of the Warta River covers 9.12 km².
