Translation and Interpretation Services Contract

This contract is for translation and interpretation services. It includes translating written texts and audiovisual materials, which also involves transcription (converting audio or video files into written documents). Interpretation services are required, both remotely and in-person. The translation must be provided from Italian to various foreign languages and vice versa, including English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Russian, Ukrainian, Hungarian, Polish, Greek, Slovenian, Slovak, Croatian, Romanian, Serbian, Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese, Chinese, Mandarin, Korean, and rare languages such as Hindi, Bengali, Urdu, Marathi, Telugu, Vietnamese, Farsi, Gujarati, Indonesian, Egyptian Arabic, Swahili, Javanese, Punjabi, Thai, Kannada, Amharic, Bhojpuri, etc. The topics for translation and interpretation can vary widely, including economic, legal, media, commercial, financial, scientific, technical, institutional, artistic, musical, historical, and educational subjects. The quantities mentioned in the tender documents are indicative and non-binding. The estimated total value represents the maximum amount of the framework agreement and is not subject to reduction; this amount is not binding for RAI. The actual amounts for the services will be determined at the time of signing the implementation contracts, with compensation based on the unit prices in the tender lists, reduced by the offered percentage discount, while maintaining the increases specified in the tender documents. Implementation contracts can be signed until the expiration date of the framework agreement; it is understood that the services under the implementation contracts may be completed even if their duration exceeds the validity of the framework agreement. Conversely, the framework agreement will be considered concluded before its natural expiration if the total amount is exhausted before the specified duration. In exceptional cases, if the conditions in Article 120, paragraph 11 of the Code are met, the contract duration (if extended due to the exercise of the option and/or under Article 120, paragraph 1, letter a) as provided below) may be extended for the time strictly necessary to conclude the procedure for identifying a new contractor. In this case, the contractor will be required to perform the services under the contract at the same prices, terms, and conditions specified in the contract. The tender documents will contain the following additional provision under Article 120, paragraph 1, letter a) of the Code: if the contractual amount (of the 'base' contract or that resulting from the exercise of the option) is not exhausted by the expiration of the contractual duration, the contract duration may be extended for the time necessary to utilize the entire contractual amount (while maintaining the nature of a maximum spending cap, non-binding, as indicated above).
